Quality Control Technician
Our Spectrum Sciences & Software, Inc. subsidiary in Fort Walton Beach, Florida has an immediate need for a Quality Assurance, Quality Control Technician to administer and assure compliance with the Spectrum Sciences & Software, Inc. Quality Management System.

The Quality Assurance/Control Technician will operate under the direction of the Quality Manager creating and maintaining quality records in contract files to assure compliance with government and customer requirements. You will interact with customer or government quality assurance representative during in-process or final contract inspections. Validate product compliance with established standards and requirements. Validate processes and recommend process improvements.

You will also be responsible for maintaining and using precision measuring and monitoring devices. Calibrating and measuring instruments along with updating computer files with job inspection status. Create and track Engineering Change Proposals, Non-conformance Reports, and Quality and Safety Deficiency Reports. Verify and validate drawings, purchase orders, work orders and other associated quality documents.
REQUIREMENTS
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:
Completion of high school or equivalent is required.
Minimum of three years experience as a Quality Assurance/Control Technician is required.
Must be able to read drawings and blueprints.
Must be able to read and understand weld symbols, and evaluate weld compliance.
Must be knowledgeable of geometric dimensioning and tolerance.
Must have excellent communications skills in English, oral and written.
Must be computer literate; Utilizes data collection and storage programs as an integral part of daily responsibilities.
Completion of military or commercial Quality Assurance courses is highly desired.
Knowledge of ISO 9001: 2000 principles is highly desired.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
Work environment includes both inside and outside exposure to all aspects of metal, plastic, composite and wood manufacturing processes.
