Propulsion Specialist / Engineer

POSITION SUMMARY
Propulsion Specialist -- Powerplant performance and installation analysis in support of potential products offerings and/or competitive configurations.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Applies diversified knowledge and experience of powerplant performance and installation in support of potential products offerings and or competitive configurations
2. Makes decisions independently on engineering problems and methods and represents the organization to customers and suppliers to resolve important issues and to plan and coordinate work.
3. Will use advanced techniques and the modification and extension of theories and practices of a specific field.
4. Plan, develop, coordinate, and direct a large and important engineering project or a number of small projects with many complex features. Provide technical guidance to other engineers.
5. Develop and evaluate plans and criteria for a variety of projects and activities to be carried out by others. Assess the feasibility and soundness of proposed engineering evaluation test, products, or equipment when necessary data are insufficient or confirmation by testing is advisable.
6. Maintains a current knowledge of developments in the field of specialty and/or other related aircraft fields in order to recommend innovations to improve quality and effectiveness of company product
REQUIREMENTS
1. High School Diploma or GED Equivalent
2. Bachelors degree in engineering, a related curriculum, or equivalent combination of appropriate education and experience. Advanced degree in engineering related field preferred.
3. Must Possess a Fundamental knowledge of jet propulsion systems, their analysis, and modeling.
4. Proven ability to interact with senior management and to coordinate with propulsion company contacts.
5. Strong program skill and excellent communications skills are a must.
6. 5 years in the specific technical discipline or 10 years broad engineering experience with broad experience in several technical disciplines.
