The Field Technical Assistance Center Engineer will have a primary responsibility for providing both on-site and remote technical support, primarily focused Fieldbus Foundation, to our internal and external customers. Responsibilities will include providing design reviews, and implementation problem resolution for new Experion PKS project deployments. An important responsibility of the position will be the feedback on problem resolution and lessons learned into the organization via discipline communities and Siebel. The Field TAC Engineer, as a member of Project Operations, will provide the link between the project team, Phoenix TAC and Development Engineering. The Field TAC Engineer will be expectd to have both strong technical skills in Foundation Fieldbus and strong customer interface skills. The position will be a rotational assignment with rotation periods of 5-7 months, followed-by (re)assignment to a Projects team, and will include an initial 2-week period with the Phoenix TAC. It is expected that up to 90% travel will be required. The Field TAC Engineer may be located anywhere in the Americas.
Major Areas of Responsibility:
Ensure customer satisfaction through timely identification, effective problem management and timely resolution of customer problems.
Team with and work with team members as requested to assist in identifying the appropriate steps to be taken in problem resolution.
Work with the TAC and management to set priorities on critical problems and situations and escalate issues appropriately.
Assist in continuous improvement actions for which the team is responsible and assist in the implementation of those items deemed appropriate.
Create and promote the submittal of technical items for the engineering discipline communities, TotalPlant Support Online and for the Customer Resource Manual (CRM), including the creation of Siebel Solutions.
Timely and accurate record keeping of work performed to ensure tractability of actions provided to the customer in resolving of problems.
Working Relationships:
External: Direct customer contact, either on-site or remotely, for the resolution of complex Experion PKS implementation problems
Internal: Interaction with people on all levels in HPS , project execution teams, TAC and development engineering.
Job Requirements
Knowledge and Experience Required
Current Foundation Fieldbus design and implementation experience.
Strong Experion PKS design and implementation skills preferred or other vendor DCS.
Self-starter with ability to work independently and as part of a team, demonstrating sound business judgment, in fast moving environment.

Proven ability to deal tactfully and confidently with internal and external customers at all organizational levels in independent and often stressful situations.

Professional Skills / Education
Technical degree in engineering, minimum 2 years project engineering experience with Honeywell.
