Project Solutions Engineer

Eaton Electrical's Retail Solution Center in Dallas, TX has an immediate opening for a Project Solutions Engineer. Successful candidate will receive daily direction and management from the Dallas Solution Center Operations Manager. Responsibilities of the Project Solutions Engineer include: To proactively coordinate focal customer projects containing standard, assembled-to-order, and engineered-to order equipment. To maintain Eaton and Solution Center objectives throughout the order cycle while keeping logistical and financial harmony. To serve as a Wal-Mart advocate and to demonstrate a project leadership role in basic to all project-related issues. To communicate with plants, E-ESS, focal customer Account Manager, and other internal departments to ensure accurate, on-time delivery of projects and directly with customers contractors and construction managers as directed by the account managers regarding the status of the equipment shipment schedule. To assist in identifying opportunities for process improvement & training needs within the Solutions Center and to work in partnership with other professionals to achieve superior project performance. Must possess a strong inner sense of urgency and commitment with the ability to perform with minimum supervision, prioritize multiple tasks and situations to achieve superior customer service. Must also possess strong computer (Advanced Word Processing and Spreadsheet), bid-manager, interpersonal, telephone, and customer service skills. Successful candidate must be able to work in a Team environment and possess strong organizational and order management skills. Perform other duties as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS
BS·Degree in an engineering discipline, preferably electrical or mechanical plus 3 – 5 years of technical project coordination experience with direct customer service experience in a related field. Successful technical background in commercial/retail construction products with strong application knowledge of Electrical Distribution Products. Proficient reading construction drawings with particular emphasis on reading one-line electrical drawings, panel schedules, and control drawings. Proficient using Bid Manager with a working knowledge of AutoCad, Excel and Word. ·Knowledge of low voltage control including lighting and HVAC controls a plus. IFS design experience a plus. Basic knowledge of panelboards, switchboards, IFS Switchboards required. Experience working directly with end-user & contractor a plus. Must demonstrate very strong organizational and documentation skills. Excellent customer service/interpersonal skills.f) AS 400 and Communications Programs.
