Category: OperationsJob Description & Duties: Candidates for this job opening must be experienced with ERP systems, preferably Oracle, in a low-volume, high-mix project systems environment. Familiarity with lean operations concepts and kanban methods is a plus.Responsibilities include planning of materials and labor resources for both standard product lines and custom product programs. Review Bills of Materials for custom products and systems. Managing inventory levels for projects, including MRP demand, procurement, and engineering change activity. Developing production plans through close communication with Engineering, Program Managers, and Management. Periodic reporting to management on key metrics on inventory, program status, and production/planning activities.A BA/BS degree in Industrial Engineering or similar technical degree is preferred. Minimum of 5 years in materials planning and control and MRP systems, as well as 5+ years experience in project planning. Accomplished user of Microsoft Excel, Access, and Project applications. Experience with Oracle ERP systems, and APICS certification. Familiarity with Lean Operations concepts, preferably including experience in successful implementation of these concepts. Candidate must be self-motivated, able to actively and effectively communicate with other members of the organization, including engineers, program managers, and procurement. Effective communication skills, both written and verbal. U.S. citizenship required.
