Project Manager - Engineering

The Lead Program Integrator is responsible for driving New Product introduction program execution for a product. The LPI develops the Integrated Program Plan and ensures that the necessary resources are applied and delivering to plan. The LPI works with a large cross-functional team to ensure product manufacturability, serviceability, safety and quality. In addition, the LPI works with the functional engineering leadership team to grow functional and domain expertise within the team. The LPI is responsible for ensuring that the product development process abides to the business Engineering Quality Procedures, Phased Review Discipline and regulatory needs of the applicable markets. Finally, the LPI works with the system, sub-system and service leadership team to deliver quality products on time, within budget and with the necessary features.
1) Independently plan, execute and direct cross functional engineering projects, that may cross traditional product lines. Diverse new approaches to problems encountered through adaptations and modifications of standard engineering principles.2) Manage projects on a cross functional basis, including direct supervision of team members.3) Manage the project costs (all financial aspects) of product development. This will include capital expenditures and cross functional expenses.
4) Identifying and resolve complex problems, including the development of new design experiments, without supervision.Qualifications
1) Good communication skills with matrix management experience required.2) Independent judgement in the evaluation, selection and adaptation of various engineering techniques required.3) B.S. and 5 - 7 years experience, with M.S. preferred. 2 - 5 years of matrix mgt. experience.4) Thorough, up to date knowledge of multiple disciplines required.As a global leader dedicated to building the best team in health care, Baxter offers competitive compensation and full benefits.
