Project Manager – Electrical Service Division

An outstanding opportunity exists for an experienced Project Manager to oversee contract electrical projects for an established and very successful Boston area organization.

Essential Functions: Plan, budget, and direct all activities associated with the construction of electrical systems.
Establish project objectives, procedures and performance standards within boundaries of contract specifications and company policies.
Facilitate and monitor project activities by maintaining contact with owners and other project principals.
Attend strategy meetings and represent the company at project meetings.
Provide administrative direction to on-site foremen to ensure projects are completed on time/on budget.
In conjunction with a contract administrator, manage project finances to protect company’s interests and while maintaining good relationships with customers.
Accurately communicate plans and contract terms to administrative staff, workers and clients.
Coordinate with a dispatcher to assign workers to construction job sites.
Maintain communication with supervisors and foremen to discuss work procedures, complaints, or construction issues.
Formulate project reports including work progress, costs and scheduling.
Investigate workplace issues or incidents and implement corrective measures. REQUIREMENTS
Qualifications: Licensed electrician with 3+ years of experience managing large commercial projects.
Experience in key electrical service projects: general repairs, system upgrades and/or additions, MAC services, generators and UPS systems, preventative maintenance, fire alarm system design and installation, fire suppression system design and installation, lighting system design, installation and retrofit, low voltage system design and installation.
Project estimating experience.
Cost-to-complete knowledge and experience.
Demonstrated project management and business skills.
Excellent verbal, written, and computer skills.
Ability to work effectively in a team environment and independently when required.
Ability to represent the company in a professional manner.
