Project Leader

ITT, is seeking a Project Leader. Located in Newton, MA, ITT is an ISO registered designer and manufacturer of switches.

The Project Leader is responsible for the timely completion of projects and project related activities such as RoHS, VBPD launch review action items, project timelines, reports, data collection, product safety and other engineering activities. Project output shall demonstrate VBSS/Blackbelt methodology.
Responsibilities include but no limited to:
*VBPD project management. Total project responsibility including holding regular team meetings, maintaining project timeline, preparing Gate meetings and transition following the VBPD procedure.
*Coordinate needs of EHS and Product Safety PS system for the Newton site for all new VBPD products
*Coordinate requests for RoHS and respond to customers in a timely fashion
*Provide statistical analysis of data based using VBSS techniques
*Provide engineering support by inspecting components and assemblies
*Provide interdepartmental support when approved VBSS/Blackbelt projects are identified and prioritized
*Provide a regular status report of open projects and action items. Report schedule varies (weekly,monthly,qtrly)
*Able to react to change productively and handle other essential tasks as assigned

REQUIREMENTS
EDUCATION: Bachelor’s Degree or 4 years of specialized training.
EXPERIENCE: 4-6 years of proven project management experience.
TECHNICAL SKILLS (Computer, Software, Welding, Forklift, Etc.):MS Office (Word/Excel/Project/Powerpoint/Visio); Internet; CAD experience is a plus
PROFESSIONAL SKILLS (Specific to position or function):Working knowledge of ANSI Y14.5 Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing for the purpose of performing inspection. Strong organizational and project management skills. Strong written and oral communication skills. Strong interpersonal skills. VBSS Black belt preferred; Green belt minimum
