Project Engineer - (Space&NavJD23103)

L-3 Space & Navigation, located in Budd Lake, NJ, is one of the world's premier providers of inertial instruments and integrated fire control systems to the global market. We currently have a position available for a Project Engineer. A major supplier of high quality Pointing, Guidance, Control and Positioning equipment for satellites, artillery, and launch vehicles, serving the military, commercial and government markets. The division's products and capabilities include Fiber Optic Gyros, Ring Laser Gyros, Momentum and Reaction Wheel Assemblies, Control Moment Gyros, Tactical Inertial Measurement Unit, Position Navigation Units and Fire Control and Digital Battlefield Solutions. Space & Navigation has provided state-of-the-art systems for critical and strategically important space and national defense programs as well as being the premier supplier of precision pointing and position location systems for the US Army.

RESPONSIBILITIES OF POSITION:
Ability to adapt customer requirements into program execution.
WBS generation and maintenance.
Leads small development projects or portions of larger contracts.
May manage a small production/logistics project.
Applies basic methods and procedures on projects or processes. Refers contractual issues to management.
Plans tasks in conjunction with management strategy and executes with IPDS team. Support technical tasks.
Schedules and supports earned value.

EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION REQUIRED/SOUGHT:
BS in Eng or applied science plus 4 years experience. In lieu of degree, 6 years equivalent experience.
