Project Engineer - EnergyOur client is a national, independent, energy services company dedicated to reducing facility operating costs through a full range of comprehensive supply and demand side energy solutions. One of the things that makes them truly unique is that they don't sell products or have ties to utilities or other product and service providers - giving them the ability to provide unbiased expert consultation.They are seeking a Project Engineer to perform and review preliminary energy audits (PEAs) and comprehensive energy audits (CEAs) at prospective client and customer facilities. Identify, estimate, analyze and recommend the best combination of conceptual energy conservation measures (ECMs) for customer specific applications. Provide direct sales assistance to pre-qualify performance contracts. Perform PEA and CEA report write-ups, energy software modeling, equipment specs, and utility rate and bill analysis. Prepare detailed energy models and design complex ECM analysis spreadsheets, such as cogeneration. Perform project management tasks such as project P&L; contract preparation and negotiation; specification development; coordination, management and oversight of subcontractors; customer liaison to coordinate and facilitate project; tracking project to budget and time schedule. Negotiate contract terms and conditions, performance reconciliation, and contract claims / disputes with clients and vendors. Assist in the preparation of measuring and monitoring methods for the ECMs, ECM and construction cost estimating, solicitation and evaluation of construction bids and recommend awards to contractors. Develop and document internal department policies and procedures as required. Travel up to 40% in any given year.To be considered for the opportunity you must have B.S. Degree in Engineering, PE and/or CEM certification and at least 8+ years experience. High Proficiency in MS Office software and engineering software proficiency is also required.
