KLH Engineers, PSC headquartered in Ft. Thomas, KY is currently in need of Project Engineers in each of the following divisions: Electrical, HVAC, Plumbing

Position Description

Engineer Duties would be performed with minimum direct supervision and usually involve frequent architectural and engineering conferences on planning, scheduling, progress and difficulties that could be experienced during the design. May be assisted by entry level Engineers/Designers and/or coops assigned to a particular project phase. Under direction of a Market Segment Leader, this engineer plans and performs engineering duties as assigned. This would also include construction drawing setup and creation in Autocad including all systems layout and connections. Project management a plus.

Electrical Project Engineer

Typical electrical systems designed at this level are lighting, power outlets and other devices, electrical distribution and emergency generation, fire alarm, and other life safety systems. Other engineering duties would include full site development and coordination of electrical and telecommunication utilities with the appropriate utility company. An understanding of building and electrical codes as well as lighting and power calculation software packages is a must. Assignments are broad in nature, usually requiring appreciable originality and ingenuity. B.S. in Electrical Engineering (or experience equivalent) and 3 to 9 years of on-the-job experience required.

HVAC Project Engineer

Typical HVAC systems designed are packaged rooftop, chilled water, hot water, split systems, water source heat pumps. Load calculations, international building code and energy code proficiency, equipment selection, duct and piping layouts, specifications, scheduling, system selection, ASHRAE 62 understanding, energy modeling, interaction with team and client. Complete layout in Autocad. Be capable of designing from start to finish. . B.S. in Mechanical Engineering (or experience equivalent) 1 to 5 years experience recommended.

Plumbing Project Engineer

Typical Plumbing systems designed are domestic water, sanitary, vents, inside building, fire protection layout. Gas and water utility sizing. Understanding of local and state plumbing codes. Interaction with utility company for coordination. Riser diagrams and details. Complete layout in Autocad. Be capable of designing from start to finish. . B.S. in Mechanical Engineering (or experience equivalent) 1 to 5 years experience recommended.
