Project Director - Power Uprate

Business Unit: GE Infrastructure, EnergyFunction: Engineering/ Product DevelopmentResponsibilities: *The Project Director is the Senior GE Project Representative for this large scale (>$100M) Extended Power Uprate (EPU) Project.
This leader will be responsible for both ITO (Inquiry to Order) and OTR (Order to Remittance) for a Northeastern US BWR customer.
Some of the major responsibilities include the following:
Lead the conceptual design for the uprate of a BWR that will include a team from GE Energy - Nuclear, GE Energy Services (Turbine-Generator), an Architectural Engineering firm (Balance of Plant), and other suppliers.
Develop a proposal for a turnkey EPU project that will include the analyses, evaluations, and calculations to support an EPU licensing submittal to the NRC, design of NSSS, Turbine-Generator, Balance of Plant, and other modifications to support the uprate of the BWR, procurement of equipment to support the modifications to the plant, installation of the plant modifications, and startup support.
Lead a team of Project Managers from several GE businesses and suppliers to execute the project.
Responsible for product delivery, collections, cash flow, contract administration and overall customer satisfaction.
Act as Project Director for site outages, as needed.
REQUIREMENTS
Qualifications: *B.S. degree in Engineering or Technical discipline with ten years experience with power plants and/or the Nuclear industry.
Six Sigma Green Belt Certification is required(GE employees only) .Desired: *Technical sales and/or contract experience.
Contract negotiation and administration experience.
Understanding of the Nuclear Power industry.
Knowledge of BWR technology.
Graduate of Company- wide sales, engineering or manufacturing training program.
MBA degree preferred.
Black Belt desired(GE employees only)
