Productivity Engineer

Business Unit: GE HealthcareFunction: Information TechnologyResponsibilities: * The primary purpose of the Engineering Productivity Engineering position is to provide technical assistance to the Imaging engineering organization to optimize efficiencies and productivity in the key result areas of the business (communication, development and test).* Assists the engineering group by serving as a catalyst to maximize efficiencies and interact with the teams to address areas of improvements. * Responsible for the design, implementation and upkeep for the communication portal of the engineering organization.* Works closely with software developers, team leaders, project managers, quality, commercial and other engineers to identify and generate productivity ideas. * Assists in technical studies and feasibility studies related to process and productivity changes. * Provides technical support to the engineering organization to identify and realize opportunities for operational improvements. Assist in development and execution of continuous improvement. * Interacts with other GEHC businesses to enable sharing of best practices and productivity measurement consistencies.
REQUIREMENTS
Qualifications: * Bachelors in Computer Science or equivalent* Software development skills (design, code, test)* Experienced using the full Microsoft Office suite of applications* Experience troubleshooting, repairing and assembling computer systems* Minimum 5 years experience in a software product development environment* Demonstrated analysis and design experience* Must be able to travel periodically to locations within and outside the United States* Demonstration of leadership and team building.
