Product Specialist w/Leading Distributor Electronic Components

Product Manager Support:
New SKU set-up
Review of data and execution of conversion of items not in the catalog
Ad hoc data gathering, reporting, and projects
Catalog module notes and spreadsheet preparation
Assist in Project Management for programs and process development in the Product Management Group
Manual financial calculations for Purchase Cost Reductions
Supplier Support:
Execution of supplier communications projects
Data requests such as contact updates
Supplier meeting coordination (calendars, meeting locations, meeting catering)
Issue summary reports on data gathered
Provide Newark InOne Sales people with supplier samples, specification sheets, literature, and other supplier information sourced internally or externally (web, catalogs, suppliers)
Administrative duties as required
REQUIREMENTS
Education
2-years of college is required, 4 is preferred

Experience
Three to five years of experience in purchasing, quotations, project management or item data maintenance is preferred
Administrative support experience is required

Key Skills
Analytical skills and ability to evaluate and solve problems
Excellent PC skills (Excel, Mail merge, Access)
Ability to understand consequences of actions on Pricing, Purchasing, Quotations, Catalog and Sales functions
Flexibility
Ability to quickly adapt and work with a variety of employees and functions
