Product Marketing Specialist

Woodhead Industries, Inc. develops, manufactures and markets network and electrical infrastructure products engineered for performance in harsh, demanding and hazardous industrial environments. Woodhead is known in the global industrial market by its recognized brands that include Brad Harrison®, SST™, Daniel Woodhead®, BradPower™, BradControl™, mPm®, applicom®, Aero-Motive® and RJ-Lnxx ®.

We seek a Product Marketing Specialist who will assist in achieving revenue and margin objectives by providing application, new product development, planning, pricing, and promotional support. Key responsibilities include:
• Create sales forecasts, product and market plans and competitive intelligence reports
• Conduct product and training support for direct sales, manufacturer representatives and key distributors
• Assist in developing new and innovative products in conjunction with Engineering, Manufacturing and Sales
• Create and execute marketing and promotional plans, including new product launches, catalog maintenance, web content and other reference materials
• Assist with technical writing of application notes, training materials, new product introduction packages and other product related
• Perform market research, competitive benchmarking, market pricing analysis, product GAP analysis
REQUIREMENTS
• BS in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering preferred, or related degree with a minimum of 2-4 years of experience with industrial products, primarily in the electrical equipment or industrial automation market
• Strong analytical, communication and interpersonal skills
• Advanced knowledge in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
• Background with industrial automation and controls or industrial electrical installations is a PLUS
