Product Design Engineer (EMC)

1. As part of a cross-functional technical team, design and develop innovative EMC (Electro-Magnetic Compliance) product solutions for commercial customer applications. Be an EMC expert for the hands-on team.

2. Work closely with Sales and Applications Engineering to clearly understand market and application requirements. Participate in customer visits to ensure successful value-added solutions. Translate customer EMC needs into innovative new product designs.

3. Ensure proper documentation of the concept development stage, including product definition, concept descriptions, lessons learned, Intellectual Property disclosures, and materials specifications.

4. Assist with process development, to rapidly deliver product concepts into commercial production.

5. Support product designs after global production has initiated.

6. Support global technology development activities, by actively participating in idea generation sessions and advanced technology explorations.
REQUIREMENTS
1. Must excel within a team environment.

2. Must be able to teach EMC concepts to other team members.

3. Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills.

4. Must have 5 years hands-on experience solving customer EMC problems.

5. Must be an excellent problem solver and analytical thinker.

6. Must passionately champion new product and process concepts.

7. Some travel required.

8. BS Degree in a technical discipline preferred.

9. Supervisory experience a plus.

10. Project Management experience a plus.

11. 2D and 3D CAD experience desired.
