The Product Definition Engineer will conduct lab evaluation of new product ideas, new power supply system concepts, new topologies, and competitive solutions. This includes the evaluation and validation of new product prototype ICs as well as the development and test of new product introduction milestone demonstration boards. This position requires communication with various technical groups within the company. Accurate and concise documentation and communication of the bench evaluation results are therefore essential. An open mind is essential for reviewing new applications and product ideas from others in the organization. You will also write technical material supporting the introduction of our new products.
REQUIREMENTS
BSEE plus a minimum of 2 years experience in switching power supply development or switching power supply IC application engineering. Experience with common switching power supply requirements such as EMI, safety, etc. is a plus. Clear communication skills, both verbal and written, are essential. Must be self-motivated and a team player. Knowledge of Microsoft Office, simulation tools (PSpice) and schematic/layout entry tools (OrCAD) are a plus.
