Product Assurance Engineer (Contract)

Conduct product testing to validate conformance of designs to established product requirements and applicable industry/company standards. Develop and/or execute product test plans, test facilities and schedules, generate test reports upon completion of the test cycle. Confer with other departments to clarify or resolve problems and improve design.

Duties and Responsibilities - Design and/or support design of product test plans/setups and configurations, specific test criteria; support analytical studies of test results/data to conclude whether or not a product design conforms to established product and/or customer requirements; perform and/or support development of automation tools (hardware & software) to simplify/speed up the testing process. Support research of new test automation techniques for possible use in product verification/validation operations.
REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor's degree preferred (BSEE, BSET, BSCS, BSCE)
with a minimum 2 years total experience with: Experience in network operations, or in an information technologies support environment with focus on the IP network. Experience with test, debug, and evaluation of IP network issues and system performance, using industry standard toolsets. Demonstrated capability with IP network protocols such as management and authentication protocols, including SNMP, and RADIUS. Exposure to the discipline of product testing, as it relates to recognizing and reproducing substantive product issues, and providing for qualitative analysis of information from the facts at hand.
