Process Technician, Sr - Dry Etch (Temp-to-Hire)- 2nd

Job Area: Engineering - HardwareRole: The successful candidate will be a key member of the team responsible for the analytical and computational analysis of iMoD devices and arrays. This candidate will develop analytical and computational (finite- and boundary-element) models to simulate the quasi-static and dynamic response of MEMS devices. As a member of the array team, this candidate will perform a parametric design study to develop iMoD device design rules, libraries and tolerance stack analysis and verify them against the experimental data from the manufacturing line. The candidate will build thermal models to evaluate temperature sensitivity of the iMoD display. In addition, this candidate will work very closely with the MEMS design team, device physics team and the test team to aid in design and understanding of the fundamental behavior and reliability of iMoD devices.
REQUIREMENTS
Skills/Experience: Strong background in applied mechanics and mechanics of materials. Experience in developing constitutive models for the deformation of materials. Analytical and computational modeling of complex mechanical and electro-mechanical systems. Experience in experimental validation of the analytical and computational models.Demonstrated proficiency with computational modeling tools such as ANSYS, ABAQUS, CoventorWare, Matlab etc. Excellent written and oral communication skills. Ability to work efficiently in a team environment.2+ years of work experience required.Additional Skills: Experience in MEMS device design and modeling a plus. Semiconductor processing experience a plus. BEM experience a plus.Education Requirements: M.S. or Ph.D. in Material Science or Mechanical Engineering required.
