Job Responsibilities:
Schneider Electric currently seeks a Metallurgical Process Engineer for the Operations group in our Cedar Rapids location. Responsibilities include the following: - Development, implementation and monitoring of industrial processes for existing products within our contact production facility which conform to safety standards and SPS principles.
Industrial processes include: Mixing, pressing, sintering and infiltrating of electrical contacts - Utilization of laboratory equipment for analysis - Creates detailed process /work instructions and trains workforce - Estimates and tracks product costs - Estimates and tracks capital expenses - Develops labor standards for assembly processes - Performs material planning analysis and implements strategies - Ensure product records are structured to support effective control of documents - Maintains current knowledge of manufacturing processes and equipment technologies and analyzes these technologies for competitiveness - Utilize continuous improvement methodology to improve internal industrial processes - Works through effective project management, prioritization, change management, and "can-do" attitude to get the job done in a TEAM environment.Schneider Electric Company is an equal opportunity employer.
