Flint Hills Resources Alaska's North Pole refinery near Fairbanks, Alaska , has a crude oil processing capacity of about 220,000 barrels per day. It is the largest oil refinery in the state. It processes North Slope crude oil and supplies gasoline, jet fuel, heating oil, diesel, gasoline and asphalt to local and international markets. About 60 percent of the refinery’s production is destined for the aviation market

Our employees enjoy a culture that nurtures innovation and creativity.As a Process Engineer, your responsibilities will include: Identifying/tracking process unit constraints and recommending alternatives to maintain process capabilities. Working with Operations and planning to make unit capability calls for daily, weekly and monthly planning. Troubleshooting plant operations as necessary. Managing refinery chemicals programs for desalter operations and corrosion control. Defining and developing the process engineering scopes of potential refinery projects. Providing economic evaluation to enhancement projects. Providing Process Engineering support to Project Design and Plant Operations. Incorporating good safety and environmental practices in all process recommendations. Understanding and following FHR's total safety culture. REQUIREMENTS

Required Education:BS in Chemical EngineeringPreferred Work Experience:Five years responsible engineering experience in a refinery. Extraction experience preferred.Additional Information:Salary: DOE
