Principal Software Engineer - Java GUI / EMS

Department Description: This department is responsible for deigning and developing a Java based Element Management System (EMS).

Responsibilities/Expectations: Senior level software engineer responsible for design and development of GUI graphics and application for Java/ActionScript-based element management product. Emphasis on development of Graphical User Interface (GUI) client features ^^

Knowledge Skills: Minimum BSCS and 5+ years experience in commercial grade GUI application development and design.
Extensive track record demonstrating GUI graphics design, Java and OO design skills including experience with Java AWT/Swing packages
Experience with Web Technologies such as Action Script and related Flash technologies
Extensive experience with development of commercial grade GUI applications
Ability to work toward agreed upon goals, with a minimum of direction

Desirable:
Exposure to a wide variety of APIs such as threads, networking, security, database (e.g., JDBC, JMS, JMX, JNDI, RMI)
Exposure to XML-related technologies and APIs (e.g., XML, Schema, DOM, SAX, XSLT, Web Services)
ATM and IP networking
