Basic Purpose and Objective:

We are looking for an expert C++ software engineer to work with our world-class image analysis scientists and algorithm developers. Your role will be to build visualization tools, provide software engineering guidance and architect and develop framework for implementation and testing of image analysis algorithms. Help us create world-class algorithm development group by making our expert scientists more and more effective in their work. You will get an opportunity to be at the birth of some of the most advanced image analysis work happening in the industry.

Duties and Responsibilities: Understand the needs of the image analysis group in terms of tools and software platforms that will increase the group’s efficiency. Build automated algorithm evaluation and testing software infrastructure that will make it possible to obtain quantitative performance measures over a large number of test data sets. Build necessary tools that will make it possible to establish ground-truth data via GUI interaction. Build necessary reporting tools that will help explain, summarize, and organize test results. Build flexible visualization tools that provide the ability to see data and algorithms performance in different and complementary ways. Provide software engineering support in other ways (e.g., refactoring, improve base classes, provide support classes, code optimization). Participate in algorithm evaluation, algorithm comparison, and tuning through the use of the testing platform. REQUIREMENTS

Requirements and Skills: Experience in 3D graphics (incl. OpenGL or Direct3D), performance optimization, and/or Image Processing. Strong OOD skills. Hands-on experience in software design, UML, and design patterns. Strong C++, C#, STL, and the .NET framework experience. Experience in Boost libraries a plus. Professional experience with multi-threading. Experience in GUI design and frameworks. Experience in software testing methodologies. Excellent communication skills and desire to help others.

Education – BS in CS or related field and 5+ years of experience in commercial software development. MS in CS preferred.
