Responsibilities:
The Development Sub-Team System is a scalable team system that enables the Development Organization to achieve its objectives for drug development and post marketing activities. The DSTS includes the team structure, roles, accountability model, processes, training and templates required for the Development Organization to work effectively and efficiently in cross-functional teams. The DST System Office is seeking a candidate who will contribute to the ongoing management and improvement of the DST System by leading complex, cross-functional projects. The candidate will address issues in DSTs or the system model by working cross-functionally with internal and external stakeholders to develop relationships, gather information and data, conduct analyses, propose solutions and influence appropriate change. He/she will manage and drive critical and complex projects to successful completion, utilizing proven project management principles and techniques that mitigate risks and effectively track project timelines. The incumbent will communicate project progress, issues and status to stakeholders, as well as work with consultants to complete or supplement work. The candidate will propose, draft, implement and analyze periodic electronic surveys to DST System members. He/she will review, edit and approve agendas, minutes and actions lists, as well as maintain issues and decisions logs. The incumbent will conduct and document lessons learned activities and determine if lessons learned require changes/updates to the DST model. He/she will assist with managing evaluations of the DST Members and System, as well as assist with analysis of evaluation results. The incumbent will draft aggregate reports with key messages from the evaluation and lessons learned activities. He/she will investigate, propose and assist with implementation of training programs for DST Leaders and Members. The candidate will propose and implement updates/additions to the training resource guide. He/she will create content updates to existing courses. The incumbent will assist with development and management of quarterly DST Leader Forums. He/she will ensure web site content is up-to-date, as well as compile and propose recommendations for web site improvements and enhancements, write requirements documents and manage site changes.
REQUIREMENTS
A Bachelor’s is required with a MBA/MS preferred. A minimum of 5-8 years of experience in healthcare, biotech or pharmaceutical industry is preferred. PMP Certification is desired. PM experience in organizational projects versus product development projects is essential. Organizational development knowledge and experience is a must. A track record of planning and executing successful complex projects is required. The ability to independently manage multiple projects simultaneously and be proactive and solution-oriented is essential. Proven skills in internal customer relationship management (managing and integrating groups of diverse disciplines in collaborative activities and highly developed diplomatic and interpersonal skills) are a must. The candidate must possess a high degree of autonomy and professionalism and have the ability to successfully prioritize workload in accordance with business goals. The ability to identify issues and risks before they impact project plans and assist in issues resolution is required. Experience tracking and managing project milestones, actions, issues and decisions is essential. Superior verbal, written, communication, facilitation and presentation skills are required. The candidate must possess excellent organizational skills with attention to detail. Experience with product development, process redesign or operational and systems implementation is essential. Advanced proficiency with MS Office, specifically MS Project, is a must. The ability to build and maintain effective partnerships, both internally and externally, is a must. The incumbent must possess the ability to maintain the highest level of confidentiality.
