The Gaithersburg, Maryland facility is a business unit of DRS Technologies. Employing about 375 people, this business unit provides creative RF solutions to the Department of Defense and prime contractors. The facility designs and manufactures HF, VHF, and SHF tuners and receivers, demodulators, direction finders and wireless intercept solutions.
REQUIREMENTS
Responsibilities:-Gain, noise figure, intercept, and spurious performance required for communications systems. Its analysis, and simulation.
-Knowledge of phase noise and its impact to transceiver performance.
-Circuit simulation techniques using Eagleware, Spice
-Microstrip/stripline circuit design techniques up to 40GHz.
-Proficient in the design of hardware up to 40GHz using SMT techniques as well as hybrid techniques.
-Working knowledge of vendor base operating in the microwave field and where their technology is headed.
-Capable of system analysis and design and performing trade offs with respect to main circuit parameters.
-Ability to design for manufacturability, past experience of issues that arise when a product transitions into production.Qualifications:Bachelor's Degree, or equivalent in Electrical with typically a minimum of 7 years work experience.
