Pre-Sales Engineer

ePlus is looking for a local candidate to fill our Pre-Sales Engineer Position.

Job Purpose:

•To assist Sales technically in the solution selling of any of the following competencies
oIP Telephony
oStorage
oSecurity
oInfrastructure
oDesktop
oMigrations

Job Responsibilities:
Pre-Sales Engineer – Data and Voice (IP) Network Architectures.

Evaluate customer requirements and recommend solution
•Work with infrastructure Sales team (Cisco Practice) and general ePlus sales force to position ePlus’s technical capabilities and product and professional services solutions.
•Create solution/design (i.e. addressing schema, functional diagrams / Visio drawings, bill of material, and project scope / schedule) to fulfill customer requirements.
•Draft a statement of work for presentation to customer.
•Use configuration tools (Cisco CCO, etc.) to provide accurate quote to customer.
•Create technical documents applicable to opportunity
•Perform technical presentations to customer base
•Create design Visio’s of customer solution.
•Provide supporting documentation to solution
•Draft technically accurate proposals
REQUIREMENTS
Job Knowledge/Skills:

•Pre sales technical experience in commercial or government market within complex environments and solutions (e.g. IP Telephony, Security, and QOS)
•Thorough knowledge of full cycle customer engagement
•Visio, excel, word, etc...
•Creating and presenting customer presentations.
•Presents well to all levels of executive management


Education and Experience:

•Minimum 5 years technical pre sales or applicable customer-facing experience (e.g. on site Consulting / Network Architecture role) required
•Active Cisco CCIE required
•Cisco CCIE / Voice (successful written test is required / successful lab test preferred)
•Cisco CCIE / Security preferred
•Combination of two or three of the above Cisco certifications is highly desired
•MCSE required
