Post Sales Technical Support Specialist

Ultimate Technology Corporation (UTC), a leading provider of open system Point-of-Service (POS) hardware solutions and services is currently recruiting for a Post Sales Technical Support Specialist to join our dynamic organization.

The Post Sales Technical Support Specialist will be responsible for managing the deployment of UTC and third party hardware for new store installations. This position will be the main post sales technical support person for deployment projects. The incumbent will serve as the technical liaison between the Customer/ISV and UTC for post sales activities.
REQUIREMENTS
Qualifications

•BS degree in a technical field desired, minimum of Associates degree in technology required.
•3+ years of experience in technical post sales support in a technology based company desired
•Candidates need to possess excellent project management and critical thinking skills
•Excellent communication skills (written and oral) are required

Other Requirements/Responsibilities
•Answer technical question via telephone or email for post sales customers
•Actively participate in cross functional customer deployment teams
•Must be able to use all Microsoft Office tools
•Candidates need to be able to navigate MS Windows and Linux
•Must be able to talk field technicians through the setup of drivers and networks
•Must have an excellent understanding of networks and protocols
•Need to understand and set-up JavaPOS and OPOS drivers.
•Must be able to troubleshoot technical issues with PC based POS hardware including peripherals
•Need to understand functionality of other POS peripheral supplier’s equipment in order to troubleshoot.
•Travel to customer locations as needed
