Post Deployment Support Engineer

Post-deployment activities associated with the MC4 system.RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
Duties include (but are not limited to):(1)Provide support for the installation, testing, training, implementation and on-going maintenance of the hardware/software to support Army medical functions and systems.(2)Ensure proper implementation of program and system specifications.(3)Assist users with the deployment and sustainment of medical IT systems.PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Experience with tactical medical IT systems.Functional Requirements: Analyzes information requirements. Evaluates analytical and systematical problems of workflows, organization, and planning, and develops appropriate corrective actions. Applies business process improvement practices to re-engineer methodologies/principles and business process modernization projects. Applies, as appropriate, activity and data modeling transaction flow analysis, internal control and risk analysis and modern business methods and performance measurement techniques. Assists in establishing standards for information systems procedures. Develops and applies organization-wide information models for use in designing and building integrated, shared software and database management systems. Constructs sound, logical business improvement opportunities consistent with configuration information management guiding principles, cost savings, and open architecture objectives. Defines and analyzes problems, and develops system requirements and program specifications. Coordinates closely with the Product Management Office to ensure proper implementation of program and system specifications. Assists in managing the customer’s IAVA program. Develops, in conjunction with the product office, system alternative solutions. Requires the ability to write scripts or other means to automate common user tasks. Provides support for the installation, testing, training, implementation and on-going maintenance of the hardware/software to support Army medical functions and systems. Requires understanding of network security, software loading and integration, and the ability to troubleshoot interactions between applications. Knowledge of Windows OS and Oracle a plus. Writes supporting documentation. Frequent travel required possibly to Southwest Asia and other theaters where Army systems are deployed.MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Degree Requirements: BS in Engineering, CS or similar.Relevant Experience (amount and type): 6 years with Medical IT SystemsMinimum/General Experience:
6 years professional experience in Information Systems Engineering. 10 years experience without a degree.Minimum Education:
Bachelors Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or other related technical discipline. 4 years specialized experience may be substituted for the degree requirement.WORKING LOCATIONS & ADDITIONAL INFO
