Plastic Injection Molding - Process Tech

Job Description

Perform safe and timely setups for production and engineering tryouts. Maintain production documentation. Interact and communicate effectively with appropriate personnel. Troubleshoot and analyze production process.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

Provide technical leadership in a teaching and training capacity in Injection Molding.
Perform mold and auxiliary setups for engineering trials with evaluations for production readiness adn improvements.
Perform Design of Experiments, analyze data, provide mechanical inspection.
Responsible for following quality system procedures. Assist in procedure development when required. Ensure product quality and take appropriate action when non-conformities are identified. Keeps accurate records as required.
Must be able to follow quality system procedures. Assist in the procedure development and keep accurate records as required.
Troubleshoot Injection Molding processes in coordination with Tooling Engineering and SMU Engineering.
Perform basic mechanical inspection of parts and raw material analysis for the diagnosis of process capability. Use monitoring systems to initialize process monitoring and retrieve data for analysis.



Shifts Available

1st shift: 6am to 2:30pm and 2nd shift 3pm to 11pm

REQUIREMENTS
Seven years of Advanced Molding Technology.
Previous experience in training of technical personnel.
Experience in molding press and robotics operations in Injection Molding enviornments required.
Accustomed to a noisy, dusty and odors from plastic material with associated chemicals.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Technical Degree is preferred, but not required.
Experience in injection molding, plastics operations, and quality experience.
