Metrologic designs, manufactures and markets bar code scanning and high-speed automated data capture systems solutions using laser, holographic and vision-based technologies. Metrologic offers expertise in 1D and 2D bar code reading, portable data collection, optical character recognition, image lift, and parcel dimensioning and singulation detection for customers in retail, commercial, manufacturing, transportation and logistics, and postal and parcel delivery industries. In addition to its extensive line of bar code scanning and vision system equipment, the company also provides laser beam delivery and control systems to semi-conductor and fiber optic manufacturers, as well as a variety of highly sophisticated optical systems.

We are currently seeking a Plant Materials Manager to be responsible for managing, controlling, and directing the material planning and purchasing, inventory control, storage, shipping, and receiving functions. Develops, implements, and maintains material policies to assure timely flow of materials to meet demand for products. Coordinates with production and engineering departments to ensure adequate supply and efficient movement of materials. Provides for the development and maintenance of inventory control systems to track status of purchase orders, inventory levels, and production requirements. Through the analysis of sales and marketing information, develops the MPS for anticipated materials requirements. Monitors BOM changes and accuracy to control obsolescence. Reviews production schedules to ensure the availability of materials. Develops, implements, monitors and provides leadership for effective material management.
REQUIREMENTS
Education Required:
4 year college / university education, or equivalent experience

Training Desired:
APICS Certification

Experience Required:
Must have at least 3-5 years related experience, including supervision
