Physicist-Strong in Math

The Technology Management Division of Schafer Corporation is searching for a mid to high level physicist/mathematician to support advanced defense programs as a Science Engineering and Technical Advisor (SETA). The candidate will provide technical insights, assessments, evaluations and interpretation of research being conducted for a variety of defense-related applications.The SETA will work with Government Program Managers to define, analyze and document progress in advanced research programs. Tasks involve understanding goals and milestones of research projects and assisting in the assessment and reporting of technical progress. Further, the SETA will apply their technical expertise by identifying, exploring, and analyzing novel technologies in the course of new program development.
REQUIREMENTS
Candidates must have an advanced degree in physics, mathematics, mechanical, optical, acoustic or electrical engineering; Masters required, PhD preferred. Expertise in one or more of the following is highly desired: real time, group theory, and convex optimization algorithm development; electromagnetic scattering theory; SAR/ISAR/tomography; time reversal or phase conjugation. Prior experience supporting Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency or research projects in signal processing development is a plus. Must be eligible for a US Department of Defense clearance.
