Performances Contract Engineer is a key role in the Sales Acquisition Team for Performance Contracting. As a PCE you will work with a Team of Specialists (Sales Executives, Contract Specialists, M&V specialists, Project Managers and Financial experts) in developing technical solutions for both public and private customers. The PCE serves as a technical expert during the performance contracting sales process, providing guidance to the proposal development team.



Responsibilities include:
identifying and developing energy conservation measure's scope of work
calculate energy conservation measure's cost avoidance
determining energy baselines
developing measurement and verification methodologies
calculating operations and ancillary savings with the Sales Executive
develop project costs, cost avoidance, and associated financial cash flows
generate project financial reports all in a timely manner to support you teams project timeline.

commercial and industrial energy engineering
utility cost analysis
facilities management
life cycle cost analysis
project development and conservation program implementation.



The successful candidate must demonstrate the ability to accurately analyze and quantify energy consumption and savings, good communication, presentation and computer skills, responsible for participating in sales presentations, cultivating relationships and develop new opportunities with customers.
Job Requirements

Basic Qualifications


Bachelors Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering


10 or more years related HVAC and control systems experience



Additional Qualifications
Licensed as a Professional Engineer a plus
Member of Energy Association, accreditation in association a plus.
10 plus years of progressive technical operation management (OM) experience
In-depth experience practiced in both energy and environmental engineering
Strong Focus on technical team development, resource management, business unit effectiveness and efficient business operations
Proficiency in Central Plant applications, distributed generation, cogeneration/combined heat and power (CHP) applications
Strong communication skills
Ability to write project descriptions in laymen terms
Ability to assess and manage risk opportunities
Hands on Metering experience
Strong working knowledge of MS Excell
Familiarity with IPMVP
50% travel

Company Overview

Honeywell can trace its roots back to 1885, when an inventor named Albert Butz patented the furnace regulator and alarm. He formed the Butz Thermo-Electric Regulator Co., Minneapolis, on April 23, 1886, and a few weeks later invented a simple, yet ingenious device that he called the "damper flapper."


Here's how it worked. When a room cooled below a predetermined temperature, a thermostat closed the circuit and energized an armature. This pulled the stop from the motor gears, allowing a crank attached to the main motor shaft to turn one-half revolution. A chain connected to the crank opened the furnace's air damper to let in air. This made the fire burn hotter. When the temperature rose to the preset level, the thermostat signaled the motor to turn another half revolution, closing the damper and damping the fire. The temperature correction was automatic. Over the years, many Honeywell products have been based upon similar, but more complicated closed-loop systems.
