Payloads Design Engineer

Volt Technical Resources is seeking Payloads Design Engineers to work on assignment at one of the largest Aerospace companies in the Northwest!
JOB DUTIES:
Apply knowledge of engineering principles, customer requirements, vendor capabilities and requirements, company processes and design requirements, and applicable regulations (FARs, JARs, etc.) in order to create component and systems designs for use in the cabin and/or cargo compartments of commercial aircraft.
Apply knowledge of computer-aided design/analysis tools in order to develop, integrate, and evaluate designs and perform trade studies.
Apply knowledge of customer and certification requirements in order to ensure compliance.


Requirements:

JOB SKILLS:

**Proficiency in CATIA V4 and V5 is required***
Requires B.S. or M.S. degree in Mechanical, Civil or Aeronautical engineering from an ABET approved institution (or equivalent).
Minimum of 8 years experience in an engineering classification.
Requires understanding of major airplane interior furnishings life cycle issues, Payloads product design and configuration knowledge.
Must have experience in specific aircraft cabin / cargo compartment Payloads commodities, large scale system integration, and or project management experience. Candidate must be able to plan and organize their time to work productively and efficiently while being able to adjust to multiple demands.
Good teaming and communication skills required. Strong mechanical aptitude is desired.
Team leadership experience is desired.
Experience with composite structures is a plus.
Strong communication skills and proficiency with standard PC desktop applications is required.
