Packaging Engneer

An experienced Packaging Engineer is needed in St. Paul, MN for a diversified technology company with a worldwide presence in the following markets: consumer and office; display and graphics; electro and communications; health care; industrial and transportation; and safety, security and protection services.. This person will assists in the development and implementation of package designs. Researches and selects the most efficient and appropriate materials for package designs, performs or coordinates package testing according to established protocols, reviews tests, and recommends package designs to business units. Obtains necessary information to create and ensure proper documentation; specifications and standards, project files, test records and regulatory data records. Participates and assists in the development and prioritization of project time and/or customer satisfaction. Works with suppliers of packaging materials/components or graphics to obtain design samples, materials and cost estimates. Ensures that package design is manufacturable from the supplier community. Responsibilities may include technical packaging commodity management. This includes developing and applying knowledge of packaging material properties, converting methods, supply community, and communication of information to the package engineering community. Liaison with sourcing professionals for the development and implementation of sourcing strategies and contracting

Requirements:

Bachelor's Degree in Package Engineering or Industrial Technology required; Graphics Design a plus.
