PSM Engineer

Business Unit: GE Industrial, Advanced MaterialsFunction: EHSResponsibilities: The PSM Engineer is Responsible for development of processes to support Process Safety Management, OSHA 1910.119, compliance for a 1000-person chemical manufacturing operation, including program implementation, administration and system upgrades.Essential Functions:
Work with operations to develop action plans related to Process Hazard Analysis (PHA), safety work orders, Management of Change (MOC) and PSM required inspections. Responsible for ensuring documentation is recorded and maintained according to regulatory and GE internal criteria.
Support Environmental, Health and Safety program digitization initiatives, coordinating with business information technology resources as necessary. Assist with facilitating PHA's.
Provide database management, project scope definition and review, and interaction with Plant Operations, Maintenance, Technology and Management. Lead incident investigations on PSM covered processes.
REQUIREMENTS
Qualifications: * BA or BS degree in related engineering or science discipline
Experience with and knowledge of EHS regulatory program requirements
Experience with computer and database management programs
Minimum of 2 years experience in a chemical manufacturing operation.
Ability to communicate clearly and concisely with all levels of the organization.Eligibility Requirements:

If currently a GE employee, you must have been in your current position for at least 12 months and have at least a satisfactory performance rating.Desired: * Chemical Engineering degree.
Prior process safety, and project management experience including PHA facilitation for chemical manufacturing facilities.
Expertise with process safety management software and/or databases.
Six Sigma certified.
