PRODUCT ENGINEER with a minimum of 5 years plastics design experience using ProE. The product engineer will work closely with sales managers to develop new products to meet customer and/or market requirements. This individual will be responsible for the entire development and management process from concept to finished product. Other responsibilities will include working with internal departments on quality and customer problems, changes to existing products. Assist customers with technical questions and standard catalog product selection. Travel to potential customers with Sales force for specific new product discussions, plant tours and product demonstrations.
Duties and Responsibilities: The Design, Development, Engineering and management of new products from Concept to completion. Testing, agency understanding, requirements and approval, sourcing of new technologies, material selection and FMEA principals are all responsibilities.Engineer performs their own 3D modeling and Print drafting work.
Maintenance and Procurement of current products.Initiate and follow ECN and ISO principals and processes.
Customer design reviews and visits.

Desired Experience/Qualifications:

5 years plus experience in product design and development of component and assemblies - required.

Pro – E CAD software experience is a requirement.

Bachelor Degree in engineering preferably Mechanical Engineering.

Good communication and organizational skills.

Plastic material and injection molding knowledge and/or background.

Experience in the Aerospace and/or Plastic fastener industry.

Knowledge of ISO 9001-2000 principals for Engineering.

FMEA Knowledge.

Take project from concept to production. Wear many hats. Rapid
prototyping. Hands-on. Significant customer interface with up to 20% travel
