We are looking for a Senior PL-SQL Developer to join the GBS-SIR Team (responsible for keeping this Fortune 30 client corp on the leading edge of technology). This is a direct placement effort for our client. Qualified candidates will be presented direclty to the hiring representative of the client.

Several areas of responsibility are described below.

Defect and Enhancement Resolution: analyze, design, code, unit test, string test and performance test solutions for assigned defects and/or enhancements.
• Support Defect Resolution Process
•Support Test Teams
•Support Release Builds
• Production Readiness and Production Support
REQUIREMENTS
Sr. DBA / Developer

A Bachelor’s Degree is required, as well as a minimum of 6 years of relevant work experience.
A solid background in Oracle, PL/SQL application development as well as experience with performance tuning and benchmarking on large volume systems is required.
A knowledge of Oracle 10G features is a plus.

Candidates must be willing to perform production support tasks during the time leading up to the implementation of the systems into production and post implementation. The position may require overtime and weekend hours in order to meet deadlines.

Over time, the right candidate will get many development opportunities in several functional or technical areas.Candidates must be able to make sound technical decisions based upon the requirements, priorities and technical factors. Senior developers are relied upon to produce accurate technical assessments and level of effort estimates. They are also relied on to define and/or promote adherence to development and maintenance of policies and standards. Initiative and proactive behaviors are expected. The position also requires excellent communication and interpersonal skills, strong teamwork and the ability to develop and maintain business partner relationships.
