This position is on the Tech Support side of our I/S Division. AllFusion Harvest is the Application Lifecycle Management (ALM) tool used for all open systems development. Part of the ALM tool's function is the automated deployment of compiled source to targeted execution environments, primarily WAS (WebSphere) server, but we are moving towards JBoss on Linux. The primary responsibility of the person fulfilling this position will be to maintain and customize the automated deployment scripts as needed. The deployment scripts are written primarily in PERL, utilize JACL for some functionality, utilize the PERL DBI module and SQL to do some error checking and formatting, and interact with Websphere Deployment Manager and JBoss. For this reason, ***extensive knowledge of PERL is required, working knowledge of Harvest, JBoss, and Websphere is strongly desired, and familiarity with the PERL DBI module and SQL is desired.*** A secondary responsibility will be development and maintenance of a CVS repository and a "bridge" from the CVS repository to the Harvest repository. To this end, ***working knowledge of CVS, UNIX security, and UNIX filesystems is desired.*** Required Skills for Deployment Engineer: PERL(DBI module), Harvest, WSAD(WebSphere), CVS(Concurrent Versioning System), JBOSS, Linux, UNIX, Excellent communication skills Required Skills:
1. Extensive knowledge of PERL
2. Excellent Communication skills - verbal and written
3. Strong teaming skills Strongly Desired Skills: 1. Working knowledge of Harvest is strongly desired
2. Working knowledge of Websphere is strongly desired Desired Skills: 1. Familiarity with the PERL DBI module is desired
2. SQL is desired
