Operator

Operator Job - Client has an IMMEDIATE NEED for a Gas Turbine Auxiliary/Control Room Operator with 3+ years of hands on mechanical experience with Gas Turbine power plant operations. You will be expected to operate local and remote control panels for aero-derivative gas turbines, steam turbine, electric generators, heat recovery steam generators, inlet chillers and other major equipment, including start-up and shutdown. You will also operate auxiliary systems & be expected to make operating tests, inspections, repairs and adjustments to equipment assigned to secure proper operating conditions. You will also obtain water samples from various plant systems and perform chemical analysis to ensure that the water quality meets minimum standards. Requirements for this position include a working knowledge of power cycles and the ability to work with minimum supervision. Prior experience working with Gas Turbines using DCS controls is also required. Operational experience with LM 2500 and/or LM 6000 equipment is an ideal fit, but other gas turbine experience or Navy Gas Turbine Operator training/experience may also be acceptable. The schedule will be rotating 12 hour shifts and the successful candidate can expect about 250+ hours of overtime pay at 1.5 times the straight time rate.
