Operations Manager ( aerospace background desired )

Operations Manager who will manage and direct the operation, policies, objectives and initiatives in order to accomplish established financial and quality objectives as well as planned goals.Duties will include:
o Manage the direction, planning, and performance in Manufacturing, Manufacturing Engineering, Production Control, Procurement, Repair and Overhaul, Quality, FAA and Compliance issues.
o Develop and communicate an Operations Strategy that is clearly aligned to the overall Business Strategy.
o Develop clear, assignable action plans that ensure that the strategic plans are executed.
o Develop, obtain approval, and execute annual and multi-year business plans for the operation which fulfills the growth, quality and financial return objectives of the overall operation.
o Monitor and control development and production programs to ensure performance to cost, schedule, and quality targets are maintained to ensure customer satisfaction.
o Organize and develop a team and provide for their training, development, and motivation to meet the needs of their positions and the overall business needs for operations as well as the overall organization.
o Create and maintain an employee and industrial relations climate which provides for retention and advancement of all employees.
o Develop personal relationships at senior levels with major customers to promote the operation and secure future profitable business.
o Ensure that the all employees operate in ethical manner and in accordance with all pertinent public laws.
o Contribute as a member of senior management to the overall direction and strategic planning of the organization.
Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering or equivalent.
o 10-15 years in aerospace manufacturing.
o 2-3 years of functional experience in Material Control, Production Control, and Purchasing Program, or Product Management.
o Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
o A wide degree of creativity and latitude.
o A team player that helps meets goals and objectives with strong problem solving skills with a commitment to Continuous Improvement.
o Excellent and effective communicator (verbal and written) to ensure clear explanation of job requirements are given to employees.
o Consistently interacts in a positive manner with co-workers and managers to motivate others.
o Highly developed people motivation and management skills.
REQUIREMENTS
Thorough general knowledge of aerospace product application.
o General knowledge of contemporary quality practices, machines, purchasing, facilities, scheduling, methods, tool design, processes, labor standards, manufacturing support systems and data processing functions.
