Oil and Gas Pipeline Field Manager
SUMMARY
Establishing training programs which will require the creation, maintenance and delivery of technical reusable product and engineering training materials and tools specifically related to electronic metering systems and instruments that connect to oil and gas mechanical and electrical metering equipment facilities and installations. Such programs will consist of outline, text, handouts and tests, applying knowledge of electronics, mechanics, and programming.
Recruiting, training and managing field staff who are employed to investigate, evaluate, analyze, and implement engineering solutions for problems and issues specifically related to electronic metering systems and instruments. Experience in establishing and maintaining customer service data and records within company computer database and tracking systems is required.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
The Technical Manager will schedule training seminars and classes based on classroom, equipment and training staff availability. Administers written and practical exams and writes performance reports to evaluate trainees’ performance. Participates in meetings, seminars
The Technical Manager will schedule field service assignments based on classroom, equipment and training staff availability.
Manages and coordinates training and field service activities of the Company. Interprets company policies and procedures to workers and enforces safety regulations. Interprets specifications, blueprints and job orders to workers and assigns duties. Establishes or adjusts work procedures to meet department schedules, using knowledge of capacities of machines and equipment. Initiates or suggests plans to motivate workers to achieve goals. Recommends or initiates personnel actions, such as evaluations, discharges and disciplinary measures. Will train new staff. Will confer with other Managers to coordinate training activities of individual departments.

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
BS in Electrical Engineering or related computer sciences; and proven equivalent 10 years related experience in oil and gas pipeline metering installations internationally. The successful candidate will have practical experience in the creation of training materials, technical presentation tools and oversight of field service technicians. Excellent public speaking and written communication skills and proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint are required. Written and spoken college-level proficiency in a foreign languages a plus.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community. Ability to write speeches and articles for publication that conform to prescribed style and format. Ability to effectively present information to top management, public groups, and/or boards of directors.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to risk of electrical shock. The employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Some travel may be required for attending seminars, trade shows, customer on-site training and supporting Sales Engineers for technical clarifications at customer meetings.
