Ocean Engineer

Under general direction and limited-to-moderate supervision, follows prescribed procedures, evaluates, selects and applies standard engineering techniques. Assignments are well-defined but larger in scope. Exposure to multiple disciplines may lead to some area specialization. May provide project oversight to technicians and assist in more complex assignments. Work results impact the immediate work group with little effect beyond. Responsible for results that facilitate the work of others in a specific work group. Contacts limited with customers and user departments. May be expected to work on proposals or provide other business development or client relationship support.

Supervisor screens assignments and selects techniques and procedures.




job Requirements


Prior experience working on coastal/ocean engineering projects is desired. Experience in underwater surveying is important and knowledge of the dynamics of offshore structures is desired.
