Nuclear Engineer

Position Description

Holtec International, a turnkey supplier of technologies for the nuclear power industry, is currently seeking motivated individuals for positions in criticality safety and shielding analysis.

Typical job assignments would include:
·Criticality and shielding analyses of spent fuel storage pools and dry cask storage systems
·Report preparation and report reviews
·Computer code validations
·Participation in meetings with clients and with the United State Nuclear Regulatory Commission

REQUIREMENTS
All applicants should meet the following minimum requirements in order to be considered for this position.

·BS in Nuclear Engineering plus 1-2 years of experience in the nuclear industry. An advanced engineering degree may be substituted for related work experience.
·Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills. Proficiency required in Microsoft Office suite of PC applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, Powerpoint).
·General knowledge of nuclear power plant operations/physics.
·This position requires a highly-motivated individual with the flexibility and willingness to work on a wide array of topics, both technical and regulatory.

The following attributes are desired and will be used to differentiate all candidates who apply for this position.

·Experience with computer codes MCNP, KENO, SCALE and/or CASMO.
·MS/PhD in nuclear engineering with emphasis on reactor physics or radiation transport analysis.
·Experience preparing licensing documents for submittal to NRC.
