Job DescriptionNS09 Position Responsibilities: The Assistant Lead for Criticality Safety will have the responsibility to assign and direct activities for the criticality safety function.Requirements include: Experience leading a team of experienced criticality safety senior professionals. Experience in understanding, application and direction for criticality safety programs, especially at plutonium fuel facilities. Develop criticality safety evaluations and supporting criticality safety calculations in accordance with the latest NRC regulations and guidelines. Responsibility for the production of criticality safety evaluations including criticality safety strategy, optimization of IROFS and ISA summary in all areas of Serve as the primary interface with the NRC for criticality safety matters and produces validation reports for the MFFF to the latest NRC standards and have them approved by NRC.Required Qualifications: Bachelorīs Degree in Nuclear Engineering or related degree or equivalent experience with a minimum of 10 years related experience. Must be organized, technically competent, an effective leader with excellent oral and written communications, experienced with project management principles or cost/schedule control practices. Ability to effectively direct teams of 5 to 15 people.Desired Qualifications: A working knowledge of French is a definite plus. PE license is preferred, but is not mandatory. Familiarity with the criticality safety programs at similar facilities.Experience with industry standard criticality safety computer programs such as KENO and MCNP. Experience with the latest tools for criticality safety code validation such as the Sensitivity and Uncertainty (Tsunami) program which is a part of the new SCALE5 package is a plus.Advanced Degree in Nuclear Engineering REF:CAAR155687
