The Novell Operating Systems Technology (Services): Network Engineer X2. We are seeking an experienced and professional to be part of our Novell Services Unit. This group is responsible for authentication services (Primarily LDAP to eDirectory) for over 700,000+ internal users and external clients, as well as Netware 6.5 installations and a sophisticated automated provisioning environment. The person selected will be part of a new global organization dedicated to the service and support of production environments essential to our business. S/he will maintain existing implementations, as well as work with other teams on implementing new technologies within firm and legislative compliance requirements to meet the needs of our business. This role is responsible for the maintenance, administration, and support of Hewitt_s global enterprise network operating system, file/print services infrastructure, and related applications.
Principle Responsibilities
_ Maintain eDirectory/LDAP services to meet the business SLA (98.5% and higher)
_ Experience with an Enterprise Linux implementation a plus.
_ Maintain and deploy Netware file services, including iPrint, and associated applications
_ Assist with the implementation and upgrade of new releases and related technologies within Change Management processes and negotiated timeframes
_ Work with Support and Solutions associates from other departments, as well as the external vendor on ongoing product issues and incident resolution. Be willing to take ownership of issues when appreciate and see through resolution.
_ Possess strong understanding of security concepts and technologies including authentication, authorization, confidentiality, and availability.
_ Strictly adhere to firm and legislative compliance requirements (Sarbanes Oxley, SAS70, etc.). Participate in regular interaction with internal and external audits on compliance.
_ Proactively meet with other IS teams and Lines-of-Business to understand the needs of the organization. Qualifications Knowledge Base Required
Technical/Functional Skills:
Service and support of Hewitt_s file and print services infrastructure.
Service and support of Hewitt_s enterprise network operating system.
Demonstrate and apply advanced understanding of complex IT systems.
Must have strong working knowledge of the following: Netware Operating System, Windows Operating System, Network Protocols infrastructure and topologies, and Intel based Server hardware platform.

REQUIREMENTS
Systems Analysis Skills:
Must have work experience in interacting with the Business groups and the ability to understand which technology to apply to a specific business need or request. Individual will be expected to understand how technology can be applied to a specific business requirement, and must be able to negotiate with client teams how such implementation will take place.
Individual must have strong interpersonal skills, and the ability to compose informative communications to a target audience regarding changes to the environment and the impact there of.
Ability to interact with the IS Support Center, Global System_s Operations Center, and other local and regional support teams in troubleshooting issues and seeing them through to a resolution.
Experience working with and giving direction to associates in Global offices with diverse cultures and varying proficiency with the English language.
Must have extensive familiarity overseeing complex projects. Individual will be accountable for monitoring status of multifaceted issues, managing road blocks, both in and out of the project scope, and organizing resources in order to produce deliverables based on pre-defined timelines and guidelines.
This individual must be have extensive Project Management experience, possess strong aptitude in verbal and written communication, analytical skills, and have the ability to work directly with other teams and vendors. Additional responsibilities include Product Management, as well as researching and setting technological direction as it relates to Hewitt's infrastructure and Business needs.
