Leiner Health Products, America’s largest store brand manufacturer of vitamins, minerals, supplements (VMS) and diet aids and leading producer of store brand over the counter (OTC) pharmaceuticals, is searching for an exceptional Network Engineer II. The position is located at the Corporate office in Carson, California and reports to the Network Engineer Manager.

Maintains and manages file, print, application and database servers.
Monitors and coordinates Leiner’s network backup operations. Tests and ensures the reliability of these backups across all domestic facilities.
Administers user access for applications such as MS Exchange, Citrix/Terminal Server, SMS and SQL Server. Generates routine reports which focus on the reliability, workload and security of specific systems.
Creates and exercises Standard Operating Procedures relating to the management and operation of the Network.
Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or 4 years of equivalent technical experience required.
Minimum three years of LAN administration experience with Microsoft Windows 2000 Server.
Two years of experience managing a multi-server, multi-protocol environment across a wide area network.
One year managing one of the following: Citrix Winframe, Exchange, or SMS.
Proven ability to install and maintain server-grade hardware and software in a network environment.
Strong understanding of networking, especially TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, IPX/SPX and other networking protocols
Proven ability to perform administrative task in a large network.
Clear understanding of backup methodology.
Proven ability to clearly communicate orally and in writing.
Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment.
Demonstrated ability to handle multiple projects and work independently.
Demonstrated ability to work effectively with users and management at all levels required.
MCSE or MCSA certification is required.
Citrix certification is a plus.
CCNA certification is a plus.
