Network Engineer 2

POSITION SUMMARY The Network Engineer 2 contributes to the strategic objectives of the Information Technology Division by developing and maintaining LAN and WAN services and support. Responsibilities include analyzing business needs and designs, implementing and supporting complex network solutions on one or multiple platforms via LAN or WAN architecture. This position is located in Medford, Oregon.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
•Determine business requirements, analyze, design, troubleshoot, and tune complex network systems.
•Develop network architecture and plans to provide corporate direction.
•Prepare all required documentation for the portion of work assigned.
•Provide technical assistance and problem resolution to clients for assigned applications.
•Plan and develop network configuration, system, redundancy and fail over testing.
•Actively pursue new technology knowledge, training, and proactive problem resolution.
•Investigate and provide resolution against outside security breaches.
•Responsible for network trouble shooting, performance analysis, management of proxy services, and supporting corporate security initiatives.
•Plan and coordinate small projects to project completion. This includes leading project meetings, task management, estimating, project timelines, resource allocation, prioritizing work, and managing the project as assigned under periodic review.
