Network Analyst: Rotating
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
1.Assist with the monitoring of the POS Next Gen infrastructure and server environment. Diagnose and resolve failures with service providers, support vendors, or other support personnel as required. Monitor store data flows and AJB services; identify and resolve data and capacity issues.
2.Assist in diagnosis and resolution of communication problems with POS Next Gen stores.
3.Monitor WUG for site infrastructure failures. Diagnose and resolve failures with service providers, support vendors, or other support personnel as needed. This includes any circuit, csu, router or switch failures
4.Assist in monitoring the corporate Internet environment for failures. Diagnose and resolve failures with service providers, support vendors, or other support personnel as needed. This includes circuit, csu, router, firewall, switch, load balancers, VPN servers, authentication servers, and intrusion detection equipment failures.
5.Assist with the monitoring of the network infrastructure servers to ensure service reliability. Includes DNS’s, Premier Access servers, Altiga, What’s Up Gold servers, AirBeam servers.
6.Assist with the monitoring of the corporate dial environments to ensure service reliability. Includes, IpSec, and Cisco VPN access.
7.Assist with the monitoring of the corporate data network’s performance to ensure service reliability. This includes all dedicated circuits and office wide and local area performance covered by network monitoring tools.
8.Assist with the installation, testing and documentation of any new communications hardware and software.
9.Assist with the testing of existing communications environments.
10.Assist with the coordination of local and remote site communications failure problem determination with hardware, software, and communications vendors. Includes 26 corporate offices, and 3800 store locations.
11.Track and escalate all unresolved network-related problems. Produce daily network operational status reporting.
12.Assist with the implementation and then ensure the proper labeling of all router, and switch cabling.
13.Maintain department database with pertinent store and site information
14.Provide training to junior analysts.
15.Assist in store network setup, with other departments as needed.
16.Understanding of wide area technologies such as, Frame Relay, DSL broadband, MPLS

We are currently hiring a Network analyst located in our Milwaukee, WI office.
SKILLS:
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
Requires an associate degree in Network Management (Network Specialist or Network Telecommunications Technician) and two years experience assisting with the management of a production network environment.
Knowledge and skill in systems technology, computer operations, network management, company standards, change and problem management, IP networking, network terminology, network topology, and network device roles.
TECHNICAL SKILLS, CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:
Requires an associate with exceptional technical curiosity. Must be willing to experiment with equipment and services in a controlled environment.
Successful completion of one CCNA certification prerequisite class.

One Full-time position
HOURS:
Mondays 09:00-17:00 and additional hours to total 37.5 hours per week
Must be able to cover all other shifts during vacations.
