Naval System Safety Analyst
Key Role:Work onsite with government engineers and analysts to identify and manage system safety risks to weapons, ordnance, combat systems, weapon platforms, surface ships, unmanned systems, and related equipment. Leverage technical knowledge in support of safety objectives across the suite of surface ship combat systems. Apply knowledge and experience with the implementation of Navy and DoD safety principles and policy, especially as they pertain to combat systems, ordnance, and unmanned systems, to provide a technical foundation for contributions to advance the safety of warfighters and equipment.
Job Requirements
Basic Qualifications:
-15+ years of experience in one or more of the areas of design, development, maintenance and operation of Navy weapons, combat and related systems, testing and measurement of weapon systems, performance of ordnance testing, explosives ordnance disposal, and demilitarization of weapons, ordnance, and related systems
-1+ years of experience with Microsoft Word
-HS diploma
-Secret clearance
Additional Qualifications:
-Experience as a former senior or master chief in ordnance or chief with an electronics or ordnance background preferred
-Experience with being a qualified Principal for Safety for WSESRB
Clearance:
Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; Secret clearance is required.
