NPOESS S/C Structures and Mechanisms Subsystem Manager

SPM / APM needed to lead the Structures and Mechanisms subsystem for NPOESS. This manager is responsible for Design, Structural Analysis, and Manufacturing of the Spacecraft Bus Structure and the PAF subcontract. Leadership and coordination of this large diverse team, including sub-contractor requires technical and management skills. Review of verification planning and test implementation required to assure delivery of qualified hardware will be performed. Position will be as part of the Mechanical Systems IPT. Grade 12/13, grade determination based on relevant experience.

Candidate shall have strong spacecraft design and analysis skills with an emphasis in composites and deployable systems. Candidate must have the proven ability to coordinate among Design, Structural Analysis, Manufacturing, and all other elements of the Space Segment for a large Program. Creating and maintaining Specifications, SOW’s, TD/BOE’s, ECR’s, Schedules, Givers/Receivers, and Risk Management issues are mandatory. Project management, leadership, communication and presentation skills are a must. 15+ years of experience required. Education: BSCE/BSME
